This touching and very personal story of one couple’s courageous experience of breast cancer is both informative and inspiring. The honest journaling of both the husband and the wife “During” the cancer treatment, make this an unusual format for treatment information. It is a very effective, beautifully written look at the ways in which breast cancer can affect a marriage. It speaks the truth about the fears and the challenges, and inspires both husband and wife to insist upon answers from all the medical professionals that get involved with the treatments available. The patient and her husband must be confronting and challenging all the time, and take a united stand in order to get the best medical advice that is out there. The authors of this book have provided a very important guide for maintaining a good marital relationship in the midst of all the pain and frustration involved with the diagnosis and treament of breast cancer. I very highly recommend this honest and beautiful book!!

This is an incredible book of honesty, courage and most of all love. It is one of the rare books that I have read not only in one sitting, but also more than once. ‘During’ is more than a “cancer book”, it is a love story that speaks loudly to each listener on the importance of family, faith, friends and HOPE.
